Mackinac Island has long been the destination of travelers from across the globe. It is a scenic island accessible only by plane or boat. The moment you arrive on the island you'll be transported to an earlier time in America's history. The island's downtown district has been meticulously maintained to its historic integrity. No motor vehicles are permitted. Your only means of transportation are horse-drawn carriages, bicycles, and walking ... just as it was in the 19th century..
The island is steeped with stories and folklore of Native American spirits and ghostly images of soldiers and other long-lost souls roaming the grounds. This weekend, Haunted Travels of Michigan will be exploring some of the most haunted locations on Mackinac Island and we're taking you with us.
Ghost Hunts/Investigations will include: ... investigation of Room 2200 (MISSION POINT RESORT) and the Straits lodges. Plus a special day time investigation (details coming). A night time haunted walking tour of Downtown Mackinac island.

What makes this so special? Although many stories have surrounded paranormal activity at the fort, to this point there has never been a formal paranormal investigation permitted. We are extremely excited to be the first group to conduct such an investigation.
